The Soul of Key West by Ralph De Palma is a trilogy of photographs and over 150 biographies of the musicians that make up the soul of Key West.

Music permeates Key West right down to the coral rock. The Key West musical soul is an outpost of humanity, One Human Family, in a sea of swirling, turbulent, incivility. Music has an effect on Key West that is magical, and Key West has an effect on its music and musicians. These books tell this story.

Volume III

The long overdue third volume provides a view of the Key West music scene as a wonderful and complex tapestry.  At 120 pages, the book contains stories of 45 musicians and 193 photographs including tributes to Shel Silverstein and Ellen Welters Sanchez.
